Amana أمانة, is Maison Misri's collection of engagement and wedding rings.
Amana -a cognate of Aman أمان or safe/safety in Arabic- is a profound word simultaneously connoting the honesty, trust, fidelity, and integrity in the loving relationship between future husband and wife, as well as Misri and its patrons.
Ibrahim Bey’s cousin, Abdelmoneim the Goldsmith -الصائغ- would be entrusted as Naïma Misri’s custodian in her marriage many years later in 1950. And in 1977, the Misri family would leave Old Cairo’s walls to a new home, with Naïma Misri turning to no one other than Abdelmoneim to sell all the gold she and her family had accumulated over the centuries.
The Misri family may have left the walls of Old Cairo, but Old Cairo’s values have never left them, and Naïma’s grandchildren are honoured to continue their centuries old legacy as guardians and confidants entrusted with your privacy and delivering the highest of high jewelry in time for the most intimate moments of your lives.
Maison Misri is pleased to take design commissions for engagement and wedding rings in addition to styles currently available on our website.
